March 31, 2005The radiator, well I was thinking that it would be good to try and cool the engine down more effectivly even before it gets to the radiator. I thought of it when I noticed my temp guage go down when I had the heat all the way up. I also noticed that the coolent lines off the heater branch off and go to the throttle body, and other parts before going back to the radiator. Soo, I figured that maybe I can lower intake temps a few. After removing the A/C lines, I found that there's all kinds of free space right in the passenger side of the engine bay. I know what your thinking, why not just get a larger radiator? Well I'm bored of going down the beaten path of performance methods. I would like to try new things ,and see how they work. Don't get me wrong, with the A/C condenser out of the way, I plan to put a fat four core radiator in it's place. I'm just excessive in everything I do, even if it took me a few months from drawing board to finished product just to take a few degrees off the other side of the engine. When I want chocolet milk my girl always insists on doing it for me because I mix so much chocolet that it looks like mudd. lol. Thats just how I am for better or worse. I talk to people about all kinds of crazy ideas just like that, and they look at me like I'm retarted. Guess I can't blame 'em. Well its been raining here all day so I can't get any work done, much less get any pics. I'll see if I can't get them tommorow.

April 2, 2005I hear ya King,I like my chocolate milk like mud too! Thanks for the explanation on the radiator thing. You know there are alot of successful milionaires out there that started out with a crazy idea.If you have the ingenuity and the means more power to ya.You never know someday you'll think of something that everybody wants or needs and your on your way to success.I've had some ideas in the past but not the time nor the finances to follow them thru and wouldn't you know it a couple of years later I saw my idea in a tool catalog and my financial independent train passed me by,so keep on thinking.
April 2, 2005Sounds like you got a souped up Tacoma. I'm thinking about doing some modifications, but not sure where to start. I'm all stock right now.
April 3, 2005jedi, you already found a place to start! HERE! theres so many ideas and guidance, theres no telling what you'll come up with!
by the way....WELCOME!!!
April 4, 2005Well I guess the best thing to do would be to make a solid game plan based on all the options you know of for performance add-ons. Set a horsepower goal, and find the best way to achieve that goal without losing the integrety of your engine. Good luck
