Yeah, don't get me wrong, I think that they're all around performers, but not to the level people are making them out to be. I wouldn't mind owning one myself, but then again,,,, I could just buy an old DSM for a quarter of the price, and deck that thing out. There's no way that honda could keep up, or the RX-8 for that matter.
Ha, ha. Speaking of H22.. My girl has a 99 prellude with all the bells and wistles.. Well we just got done installing a supercharger from JR on her ride. Finally that thing had some power worth talking about. Well anyway, when it rains down here in MS, it pours. Needless to say, she stalled it in some water because that injen intake is so low to the ground. Well we pulled the pluggs, and dryed the intake hoping for the best. Well it started up and ran fine for the most part. It looked like it would shoot out a little oil every now and then, but what are ya going to do ya know? If its blown, it gone, and thats that. Well everything seemed ok, and I just figured that maybe she damaged a ring or something. The oil didn't change color or anything. So maybe it was a gasket blown a little. So anyway, I'm following her down the road in my truck going about a buck ten, and I see every few seconds a little puff of black smoke would come out the tail pipe. I was thinking of calling her to let her know that her car was definatly burning oil, but it was too late. No later than that last thought, this giagantic puff of white smoke poured out from the bottom of the car, and oil covered my truck, in the next second or so black smoke followed, and instantly ignited setting her rear of the car on fire! Three foot flames were flying off the back, and I could feel the heat from my truck as I passed by to follow her to the side of the road. Well the fire on the rear went out after parking, and if you looked under the car, you could see oil dripping from the pan on fire, so I popped the hood, and put it out. The fire departement wasn't far behind either to pick up engine fragments that trailed behind. So the moral of the story is..... Umm well I don't really know for sure, except for water is bad, and engines are expensive.
